2026 and Heart's Wishes....

I sit down to write to you, just before the calendar changes, and my thoughts wander to this concept, "New Year".

Outside, the world prepares for celebrations of noise and bells, fireworks and countdowns. Everyone talks about conquering peaks, "running forward," devouring the world. But us? With us, victories look completely different. They are quieter. They are internal. Our victory is the ability to get up in the morning, trust our legs, and be on stable ground. It is that moment the room stands still, and the horizon stays straight, and doesn't run sideways.

So for the new year, I wish us simple things, almost banal, but ones that are the whole world to us: May we have a "boring" year. A year of blessed routine. A year where we return to trusting our body, and it cooperates with us. 🙏 A year where vertigo will be just a distant memory, or at least a guest that comes briefly and leaves quickly.

Thank you for being here, holding each other up. You are the strength of this home. May it be a good civil new year, stable, and full of light (dimmed light, not blinding....) Yours, Maya
